CHIPSTEAD SAILING CLUB – RE-OPENING

The really great news is that the current guidance allows us to run our summer programme in its entirety! Unsurprisingly there will be restrictions applying to the use of the Clubhouse (especially changing rooms), Bar and Catering Facilities.  The Government’s rules on Social Distancing and group size must be obeyed at all times, but we must hope that their hope of total relaxation by late June is realised.

The highlights are:

• From Monday 29th March independent activity is allowed
• Saturday 3rd April we start the published Summer Programme
• On Saturday 17th April we plan to open the Bar on the basis of external seating and table service (please note that we shall need volunteers to assist with this). We are in discussion with our caterers regarding what level of catering may be viable at this stage.
• From Saturday 22nd May both Bar and Catering facilities will be open. Table service, but can be inside or out.

Here are two documents giving details:

1. A more detailed timetable showing what can be done each week here.
2. The Operating Protocol, which lays out in detail the basis on which we will operate. It is important that you read it as it shows how we must operate to keep within the Government’s guidelines and/or rules here.

We expect that TriSwim and Bromley Canoe Club will also recommence operation at the lake, as laid out in our Programme.
