The General Committee would like Chipstead Sailing Club to join in the national one minute silence in commemoration of the life of HRH the Duke Of Edinburgh planned for 15.00 on Saturday April 17th 2021. Accordingly, start times for Saturday afternoon racing on April 17th will be put back by up to one hour. The OOD has indicated that the likely race duration may be approximately 45 minutes for the first boat rather than approximately 60 minutes as would be usual for Saturday afternoon races. The intention is for the Topper and Donald King Handicap races to have the same start time on this occasion.
The Sailing Secretary has issued the following Sailing Instruction:
Race Start Times Saturday April 17th 2021
1. Race Start Times on Saturday April 17th 2021 will be
Solo Points 15.20
Comet Points 15.25
Topper Points 15.30
Donald King Handicap. 15.30
2. These race start times will be published next to the race board and on the club website and will apply on this one date only.
