Chipstead Sailing Club is an accredited Royal Yachting Association Training Centre. All our instructors are qualified to deliver RYA approved methods of teaching sailing and powerboating. We run training courses for adults and young people from complete novices to those who want to improve their sailing skills.

CSC RYA Training Centre – Courses
At the CSC RYA Training Centre we welcome both club members and non-club members.
We provide a wide variety of RYA sail training from the ‘Beginners programme’ through to our ‘Start Racing’ course and RYA powerboat tuition up to RYA Safety Boat.
The Training Centre also provides bespoke training for Chipstead Sailing Club members, for example we run a Powerboat Duties course for members wishing to undertake safety boat duties.
We also encourage club members and non-members to become RYA Instructors.
Fun sailing for members and non-members wanting to improve their sailing skills and confidence, also an opportunity for non-sailors to try sailing.

RYA Powerboat and Safety Boat courses provides the skills and background knowledge needed by the competent powerboat driver and are the basis of the International Certificate of Competence.
