OPEN DAY – Join Us for a Day of Fun, Friendship on Easter Monday – 6 April 2026
We’re delighted to announce our annual Open Day, taking place on Bank Holiday Monday, 6 April 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to come and visit Chipstead, share our love of sailing, and see everything that makes Chipstead Sailing Club so special.
Whether you’re new to sailing, a seasoned sailor who’s new to the area, just curious about sailing, or looking for a wonderful place to relax and watch the boats float by as a social member who enjoys the buzz of club life, come and give it a whirl.
Sailing is a brilliant way to break up your week, get outside and away from your screens and enjoy the wonders of the British Countryside from the waterline. It’s a great way to get fit and reset, whatever your level of fitness or ability.

BOOKING ESSENTIAL if you want to sail. Don’t want to sail but still interested?
There is something for everyone including:
- Go for a taster sail with one of our brilliant instructors.
- Sign up to Learn to sail courses with our RYA Training Centre.
- Find out what boats we sail, and which ones might suit you best.
- Feeling competitive? Learn about our racing programme.
- Want to chill and hang out? Ask about social sailing.
- Don’t feel like mixing it up with the boys? Come to Women on Water.
- Fun for the whole family – sail together in a double-handed boat, or against each other if that’s more your vibe!
- We have a thriving Junior Sailing section for your youngsters and are home to Sea Cadets.
- Like your sailing challenging, but less physical? Try radio sailing.
- Want to sail better – Go to Saturday Adult Club or our Improver sessions.
- Anyone and everyone with a disability is welcome to join Wealden Sailability.
- Just want somewhere wonderful to sit and enjoy our fun events? – Become a Social member.
- Try out the galley with fab food from Florence & Jim of Perfect Cuisine.
- Go Paddleboarding or enjoy open water swimming in the sunset after sailing is done.
- Sit in the sun, or in the snug and enjoy a drink from our members only bar at highly competitive prices.
